Women’s Weekend Retreat: Finding Peace
Friday
4:00-4:45- Welcome reception
Get settled and enjoy light refreshments.
4:45-5:00- Pre-Shabbat Sing-Along
5:00-5:15- Candle-lighting
5:15-6:00- Group ice breaker
6:00-6:15- “Finding Peace Through Shabbat” presented by Chani Altein
6:15-6:45- Kabbalat Shabbat (Song sheets will be provided.)
6:45-8:45- Shabbat dinner
Enjoy a delicious 3-course meal accompanied by song and words of inspiration.
9:00- Pajama Party (with wine and treats)
Get comfy in your pajamas and enjoy fun discussion games- or just hang out and enjoy the
company of friends.
Shabbat
8:30-10:00- Breakfast buffet
9:30-10:00- Shabbat morning prayer circle led by Chani Altein
10:00-10:45- Your choice of:
a. “Feeling Peace Through Meditation and Stretching” led by Sharon Saul and Haliel

b. Torah and Tea
10:45-11:00- Break
11:00- 11:45- “Peace Making- the Art of Listening”- presented by Leah Herman
11:45-12:00- Break
12:00-12:45- Round Table Discussions
Join a guided discussion on the topic of your choice:
a. Balancing Responsibilities In and Out of the Home with Leah Herman
b. Caring for Aging Parents with Sharon Saul
c. How to Disagree Agreeably (Maintaining Peace with People of Different Opinions) with Heather Ufberg
d. Positive Parenting with Chani Altein
12:45-2:30- Shabbat lunch
Enjoy a delicious Shabbat lunch with food for body, mind and soul.
2:30-4:00- Down time
Rest, hang out with friends, read a book, or play a game. (There will be an area set up in
the hotel with a selection of interesting books and magazines for anyone who would like to enjoy
some quiet reading time.)
3:15-4- Roundtable Discussions: Join a meaningful conversation about-
a. Developing Adult Friendships
b. Life Lessons Learned From My Journey of Spiritual Growth
4:00-4:45- Making Peace With Ourselves and Others (A Panel Presentation)
4:45-5:15- Snippets of Inspiration
Four short personal talks given by participants of the retreat
5:15-6:50- Seuda Shlishit (Third Meal of Shabbat)
Enjoy a delicious dinner buffet followed by a group activity
6:50-7:15- Musical Havdallah and group photo
7:30-8:30- Your choice of:
a. Dancing with Maria Caruso
b. Crafting with Michelle Kirk- Create a set of beautiful beaded serving spoons
8:30-10:00- Saturday Night Celebration
Enjoy soups and a hot cocoa and dessert buffet along with light entertainment.
Sunday
8:30-9:30- Light refreshments
8:45-9:30- Stretching and Meditation for Inner Harmony- led by Haliel Selig and Sharon Saul
9:30-10:30- Your choice of:
a. Coffee and Conversation led by Sharon Saul on the topic of “Making Peace Between Paradoxes”
b. Creating Harmony Through Color- A color palette workshop with Joanna
10:30-11:00- Evaluations and check out
11:00-12:00- Brunch with wrap up activity and presentation
